Hi Everyone, this week again a triptic on autumn. Just another reminder about how nature after nice warm summers gives us beautiful bright colored yellow-amber-green-red-brown canvases, also extremely rich with intricate layers of texture. Why? So that we don't get depressed and loose hope waiting for another 6 months till next spring, or even summer.
I have added a really colorful series above and another one below in B&W to be able to better appreciate the textures. I prefer the below since you can appreciate better these textures...but again that is my personal preference & as you know in photography there is no right or wrong. So the question to you is....which one do YOU prefer?

Hola a todos, esta semana otro tríptico sobre otoño. Simplemente otro recordatorio sobre como la naturaleza después de los lindos veranos nos regala un bastidor de brillantes colores amarillos-verdes-ambar-rojos-marrones increíblemente ricos en texturas también. Porque? Para que no nos deprimamos y perdamos esperanzas por tener que esperar otros 6 meses hasta que llegue la primavera, o el verano.
Aqui arriba agregue una serie realmente colorida y abajo la misma serie en blanco y negro para poder apreciar mejor las texturas. Yo prefiero mucho mas la serie de abajo porque realmente se pueden apreciar mucho mejor las texturas...pero bueno es mi preferencia personal & como saben no hay ninguna respuesta correcta-incorrecta. La pregunta es...cual preferís VOS?

Hi Everyone, something radically different this weekend since Autumn is upon us in the southern hemisphere, though the temperatures are still high and summer extends itself more and more, year after year into this so colorful and playful season. I love the magical blush of colors that Autumn brings to life. I took these series while living in Holland. I remember staring at the bright yellow leaves for long as if I was absorbing their energy. As soon as I gained consciousness I decided to totally overexpose the shots to the point of burning them with light. Why? Simply because I wanted to portray their light, their energy, the way I had felt it. I love the fact that they look like bright paintings in a way too.

Hola Todos, este fin de semana algo radicalmente diferente ya que el Otoño esta llegando aquí en el hemisferio sur, aunque las temperaturas siguen altas y los veranos año tras año se extienden robandose mas y mas días de esta colorida estación. Me encanta la variedad y los tonos de colores que nos regala el Otoño. Tome esta serie mientras vivía en Holanda. Recuerdo haberme quedado encandilado por el vivido amarillo de esas hojas por un tiempo largo como tratando de absorber su energía. En cuanto salí del trance y baje a tierra decidí sobreexponer totalmente las fotos al punto de quemarlas con luz. Por que? Simplemente porque quería transmitir su luz, su energía, y la manera en que las sentí. Me encanta también el hecho de que hasta cierto punto parecen pinturas.

Hi everyone! Today a series from Patagonia.
An evening, while the sun hid behind the mountains, I saw 4 teenagers at the end of a peer enjoying a few drinks, a good laugh and an amazing scenery. I crept behind them silently staying there for quite some time  and, different to what I'd expected, I saw how their energy and laughs got blown away by the mesmerizing scenery till they all sat still in complete silence as if hypnotized by its greatness. Those last minutes were so peaceful...

Hola a todos! Hoy una  serie de Patagonia.
Una tarde caminando mientras el sol se escondia de tras de las montañas, divise 4 adolescentes en la punta de un muelle disfrutando de unas bebidas, muchas risas y un escenario espectacular. Me acerque sigilosamente y me quede bastante tiempo observando los y, contrario a lo que esperaba, vi como la energia y las risas fueron invadidas por el incomparable scenario hasta que todos quedaron en completo silencio, como hipnotizados por toda esa grandeza. Esos últimos minutos fueron tan relajados & de tanta paz...

Hi Everyone! Back again with my promised weekly submission. Yeah, more dark and gloomy this time around but hey its winter in the northern hemisphere and it has been cloudy and rainy for ages here in Sao Paulo. It just reminded me of how winter suddenly catches up with you in Holland. You go through summer waiting and waiting for that sunny weekend...and one day you wake up, look out of the window and trees have no more leaves and u realize: 'shit! fkn winter has caught up with us!'. Darkness starts very shyly but eventually takes over and rules our days. I very subtly intended to show this if u look at the images going from left to right.

Hola Gente! De vuelta con my prometido post semanal. Si, mas gris y oscuro esta vez pero bueno es invierno en el hemisferio norte y ademas ha estado nublado y lloviendo en Sao Paulo por semanas y semanas. Y simplemente me recordo de como el invierno en Holanda te alcanza sin que te des cuenta. Uno pasa la primavera y el verano esperando y esperando ese fin de semana de sol...y un dia te despertas, abris la ventana y los arboles ya no tiene hojas y te das cuenta: 'Puta! el invierno ya llego? ya?'. La oscuridad empieza muy tibiamente pero toma el control y termina dominando nuestros dias. Quise mostrar esto muy sutilmente en las imagenes empezando de izquierda a derecha.

In the crowd

Hi Everyone, my 2013 new year resolution (or at least one of them) is to get one post out there every weekend so here goes this weeks post: 'In the crowd'. 

In 2010 I was in Amsterdam for work and had an afternoon free so jumped on a bike and off I went to Central Station to take photos of the largest crowd of bikes I have ever seen in my life. If not mistaken it must be the hugest bicycle parking lot in the world. Well whatever won't bore you anymore here goes a short selection of pics I took:

1st Photo: Among the endless sea of bikes there were these 2 that were like jumping out like 2 kids asking for attention.

2nd Photo: Among the chaotic crowd I found this peaceful couple. Two very old bicycles that it looks had been stranded there forever, it looked like they had aged together and were very sweetly holding hands as the 1st day they met.

3rd Photo: I found this bike with a very nice bell (or however u call it) with the (Dutch?) crown engraving which with the very colorful orange backdrop of its body made it a completely Dutch specimen.

4th Photo: I was already heading back when this bright Nemo bell drew my attention. I took this picture against a very colorful blurred background which in fact looked like a coral reef and just loved it.

Hola Todos, mi resolución para el 2013 (o por lo menos una de ellas) es postear algo todos los fines de semana asique acá va el de esta semana.

En el 2010 estaba en Amsterdam por trabajo y tuve una tarde libre asique me subi a una bici y sali para la Central Estacion a sacar fotos de la major aglomeracion de bicicletas, creo yo, del mundo. Bueno no los aburro mas aca van las fotos:

1era Foto: En el mar de bicicletas estas dos parecian estar saltando y pidiendo atencion como dos chicos.

2da Foto: Entre todo ese chaos encontré una vieja pareja de enamorados. Dos bicicletas muy viejas que parece habían sido abandonadas hace rato, que parecían haber envejecido juntos & por suerte se tenían el uno al otro tomandose de la mano como el primer día que se conocieron.

3era Foto: Encontre esta bicicleta con este timbre/campana con la corona (Holandesa?) que con el anaranjado cuerpo lo hacia un espécimen Holandes perfecto.

4ta Foto: Ya estaba emprendiendo la vuelta cuando esta imagen de Nemo en un timbre/campana me atrajo la atención. Busque el angulo en el cual pudiera sacarla contra el fondo colorido, fuera de foco y que parecen coloridos corales. Me encanto.
