Found this video really cool. Very simple & creative. Loved it cause shows how light can transform a very plain simple object into something extremely dramatic, full of depth & incredibly moody.

Inner Space

Took this pic last weekend with my i-phone. Was waiting for the lift...looked down and saw the dark matte floor with bright sparkles. Looked like outer space...Star Wars or Star Trek. Turned it into B&W and increased the contrast to bring the sparkles through even stronger from my i-phone photoshop program.

Was in New York last February. Had an agenda which was totally packed but managed to squeeze some time on a Saturday & 3 hours the last night (flight was leaving at 12am). It was freezing cold but got myself to Time Square after a long walk from my hotel. After a while of taking pix here and there I Looked up and saw all those bright colorful lights just coming down on me and thought 'what about getting all those lights out of focus, like blobs of color, and in total contrast with the night black/darkness?'. Hhhmmmm...creating a colorful image of an iconic place which would be recognizable if of course they told you so, but barely if not mentioned. So I set the lights totally out of focus so the lights became bubbles & blobs of color & underexposed so that they contrasted and made the background as dark as possible. I too decided to build it in three separate photos. If I ever print them out I'd have them just printed separately and composed on the wall. Loved it. Enjoy!

Me encanto.
